Next event 26th & 27th April 2025, King’s Cross, London.
The Classic Car Boot Sale is a classic car-lover’s delight, a vintage shopper’s dream and a true mecca for curated secondhand. This event assembles the finest vintage fashion, accessories and homewares traders from across the country and gathers them all in one location, to trade from out of the boots of their vintage vehicles.
Since 2011, The Classic Car Boot Sale has popped up in multiple locations but in recent years, we’ve found it’s London home for our biannual event at Kings Cross. Every edition sees over 150 vintage vehicles and traders joined by thousands of shoppers, collectors, vinyl lovers and petrol heads, for a family-friendly celebration of all things vintage, collectable and up-cycled. The event brings 20 thousand visitors to this fantastic site whilst it continues to undergo exciting and thoughtful regeneration.
The Classic Car Boot Sale is a haven for motoring enthusiasts, showcasing an extraordinary selection of vintage vehicles from the 1920s to the 1990s. For each event, we carefully select an array of standout feature vehicles. In Autumn of 2024, it was the celebration of the British-designed MG, marking 100 years of these iconic sports cars. Other highlights included George Harrison’s psychedelic 1966 Mini Cooper and an original 1955 Cadillac Coupe DeVille lowrider, attracting attention alongside car clubs like Afroclassics and Viva la Viva. These marvelous motors can be spotted at every turn of the event from Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard over to Lewis Cubitt Square. This impressive range of classic cars, custom bicycles, and legendary ride-ins from mods and rockers really capture the timeless appeal of motoring history.
The entertainment doesn’t stop there, The Classic Car Boot Sale is renowned for its sustainable shopping opportunities with over 100 traders, carefully curated for each event, to provide visitors with a diverse selection of vintage and designer second-hand items. Featuring an eclectic mix of pre-loved fashion, vinyl records, collectibles and upcycled goods as well as our very own clothing repair shop, dubbed the Repair Fair. To create an exciting, immersive vintage experience for all to sink their teeth into.
Since 2020, we’ve also gathered a cohort of charity retailers as part of The Classic Car Boot Sale. This ‘charity shop zone’ takeover in Coal Drops Yard started to become an event in its own right and so we thought it was about time to give it a name and an identity. Charity Super.Mkt was born and developed from a market-style biannual pop-up to stints in major shopping centres around the UK. You can read more about Charity Super.Mkt here.
As well as buying, selling, fashion spotting and vintage vehicle admiring, this event hosts live vinyl DJs spinning to our guests from ontop of the Bus Bar in Granary Square and from the re-vamped horsebox DJ booth in Lewis Cubitt Square.
As the positive word of the event spreads, we welcome more visitors each year and with more visitors comes more entertainment. In the Autumn 2024 Classic Car Boot Sale, Lewis Cubitt Square welcomed two brand new amusement activities, a Classic Bar Boot Sale ‘make your own merchendise stand and a family funzone, complete with a ferris wheel.
The event attracts collectors, fashion enthusiasts, and anyone with an eye for unique finds. Whether on the hunt for seasonal wardrobe staple or browsing collectible treasures, visitors are invited to relax amongst the vibrant atmosphere are diverse crowd.
We’ve previously held Classic Car Boot Sales at the Southbank, The Olympic Park and Hastings, and in 2024 it debuted up North for the first time in MediaCity, Salford.
